. . . . Originally hailing from the Northwest Pennsylvania area, Kristine graduated magna cumlaude from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.Following graduation, she worked as a social worker in her rural section of Pennsylvania for nearly a decade, first as a caseworker and abuse investigator for Children and Youth Services and later as a recruiter for the federal Job Training Partnership Act program. In 1995, she traveled to Philadelphia to attend Temple Law School, where she graduated cumlaude three years later. After a year-long clerkship in Wilkes-Barre with The Honorable Peter Paul Olszewski at the Pennsylvania Superior Court, Kristine returned to Philadelphia and opened her own general practice. In her civil practice, Kristine has successfully represented clients in divorce, custody, and support matters; bankruptcies; debt collection defense; managing estates through probate; same-sex partnership disputes and dissolutions; name changes; and limited discrimination complaints. She has also provided services to many individuals and non-traditional families in the form of family, estate and contingency planning; domestic partnership documents; pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements; and small business incorporation and trademarks. Finally, she serves as a regular panel mediator with the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Mediation Program. Her experience over the years has presented her with some very unique and difficult situations, all of which honed her skills and increased her sense of mission. During her three years at Temple Law School, Kristine was named to the Dean’s List all six semesters, was cited six times for Outstanding Classroom Participation, and was selected to be a member of the Temple Law Review, on which she served as the Managing Editor. In addition, she was the recipient of several academic awards, including the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Legal Writing and Research and the Smith and Leibel Family Law Award. She also served as an officer in both the Temple Law chapter of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International and in the Temple Law Students for LGBT Rights, and was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus and served on the Student Grievance Committee. Finally, while attending Temple Law, she served as an intern for the Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission; performed a clerkship for the Honorable Louis G. Hill in the Complex Litigation Center of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas; and clerked part-time for several small firms and solo practitioners in Philadelphia. Kristine is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey, and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. During her free time, Kristine relaxes on the family farm in South Jersey; keeps chickens and bees; plays upright bass in a folk-based trio; and records synthesized hippie space music in her home studio.
